Cougar Town Songs Played on Episodes

A lot of my Cougar Town watching friends have asked me to hunt down the songs that played on various episodes of Cougar Town, so I’ve decided to post it here as well for those who are looking for it, too. In particular, I’m sure you guys would like to know the song on the final episode of Cougar Town.

This isn’t fully complete, so if you’d like to ask something, or you’d like to give your input, feel free to post a comment!

Episode 1:
“Lisztomania” by Phoenix – Jules is inspecting herself and looking at all her imperfections in the mirror.
“Bulletproof” by La Roux – Laurie brings Jules to the bar and they talk to the bouncer outside Westside Bar.

Episode 2:
“Feeling I’m Falling” by True Music – Jules gets drinks at Grayson’s Bar/Restaurant.

Episode 3:
“We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel – the song Andy hums, because Ellie tapped the drum beat of this song on his behind the night before.

Episode 5:
“Closing Up” by Witness UK – Josh & Jules at the cafe.

Episode 6:
“Stolen” by Dashboard Confessional – Josh and Jules talk on her cellphone post-breakup, Josh is crying under the rain outside Jules’ house.

Episode 8:
“Calling” by Leona Naess (also the singer of the song on the last episode) – Jules and Trent dance on her birthday, by the bar/lounge of the hotel.

Episode 9:
“Give A Little Love” by Noah And The Whale – Thanksgiving song. Nice touching scene where Travis helps Jules with the turkey, after the faux pas Jules committed in front of Travis and his girlfriend, Kylie.

Episode 11 (the episode featuring Lisa Kudrow!):
“Romeo and Julie” by The Rifles – Jules and Jeff play Scrabble on the bed.

Episode 15:
“Feel Good About It” by Marching Band – Grayson hangs lights on his house for Jules on Valentine’s Day.

Episode 17:
“Don’t Wanna Know Why” by Whiskeytown – Jules and Grayson talk as they watch Andy riding around in his motorcycle.

Episode 18:
“Animal” by Miike Snow – Jules pulls over her car to answer the phone and is elated by the fact that she can still change.

Episode 22:
“Keep The Fire” by The Goldhawks – The “Why Not?” Jules/Grayson moment! Grayson rushes up to Jules and kisses her on the street. *gush* (watch starting 0:07)

Episode 24: Final Episode of Season 1!
“Leave Your Boyfriends Behind” by Leona Naess – The cul de sac gang goes to the beach! The girls ride the bike, while the guys ride a car.

I found the song that was playing when Andy was telling Bobby he was taking the partying too far after Bobby slept with Jules and was crushed they were not getting back together. It’s called “Calling all friends” by the.Low Stars. Great song. Get it on ITunes.

Please can you tell me what the song was that was aired tonight in South Africa 12 Oct 2011. I do not know the episode number or title. All I have is that Jules’ ex-husband was playing golf with Andy as his caddy. Part of the lyrics are “all you’ve got to do baby is run run run” or something to that effect. Heehee . . . I hope someone can help

    1. Hi Dale, “Good good life” song is “Good Life” sung by One Republic. :)

    2. Eva: The song title is “Tender” and you can check out the lyrics at: http://www.metrolyrics.com/tender-lyrics-teddy-pendergrass.html :)

    3. Drdroad: Sorry, haven’t been able to collate all the season 2 Cougar Town songs yet but I will real soon!

    4. Mooali: episode 18, season 2 songs – is this the one when Travis proposes? It’s “About Today” by The National

    5. Michelle: wow that’s pretty tricky. would you know what season this is on? Any other info? is Jules dating Grayson already at this point? Very wild guess: Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks”
